Featured in Montana Bride: Apres Ski & I Do! A Montana Ski Wedding

Kate and Kyle threw the wedding bash of the century at Maverick Mountain in Dillon, Montana with 200 of their closest friends and family.

Last February, I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Kate and Kyle's epic apres-ski themed wedding at Maverick Mountain in Dillon, Montana.

The day started at their cozy cabin just a few minutes away from the mountain, where Kate got ready with her closest girlfriends and family members. Fresh snow began falling outside as her mom helped her into her stunning wedding dress while Goose (Kate and Kyle’s sweet golden boy) supervised from the couch. Kyle was already on the hill getting ready with his buddies and eagerly awaiting his first look with Kate.

Their first look was nothing short of perfect — in a parking lot blanketed with all the fresh snow, Kate and Kyle shared a quiet moment together before all the excitement of the day began. Before we knew it it was time to head to the summit where all their friends and family had gathered for the ceremony. Kyle loaded up first with his mom, then the wedding party, and finally Kate with her parents.

The ceremony itself was a true reflection of Kate and Kyle's laid-back and adventurous spirits. Officiated by some of their closest friends, they exchanged vows they had written on greeting cards, making the moment even more uniquely them. Goose fell asleep at their feet during the ceremony with his face smooshed up against Kyle’s snow boot which was insanely adorable. Hands-down one of the coolest ceremonies I’ve ever had the honor of capturing.

After the kiss, everyone gathered together for a quick group photo (a logistical feat that I am very proud of) and then enjoyed a huge party lap down to the lodge! All the hoops and hollers and laughter you can imagine echoed through the hills for the most epic celebration of Kate and Kyle’s new title as HUSBAND AND WIFE!!

The apres-ski party that followed was legen - wait for it - LEGENDARY. With delicious food catered by Forage 406 filling the lodge with mouth-watering aromas, the celebration continued well into the night. Friends and family made heartfelt toasts, and soon, everyone was dancing on tables and having the time of their lives.

A special shoutout to Wild Sky Designs for flawlessly planning and executing such an awesome day. From start to finish, everything was perfect, allowing Kate, Kyle, and alllll of their guests to fully enjoy every moment. It was also just such a pleasure working with Maverick Mountain, Forage 406 (as always), and everyone who helped bring this rad day to life.
